Eilat Largest Hotels Going Downhill Fast

March 21, 2013 By Travel Magazine Tagged With: Eilat, eilat hotels, Israel, Largest Hotels on the Northern Beach

Eilat largest hotels are going downhill fast. Hilton, Royal Beach, Dan and Herods are still Eilat’s flagship hotels, yet the hotels built in 90’s are badly in need of renovation, undermaintained and understaffed. Their days of glory, rich dinners, invited chefs and entertainment shows are long gone. Now Northern beach hotels offer meagre and dull food, rely on temporary workforce (including illegal refugees from North Africa) and take every possible budget shortcut, while pretending still being 5-star hotels and charging exorbitant amounts. Israelis are coming due to lack of alternatives – Turkey-Israel spat is still fresh, travelling to Sinai is too dangerous and flights to Greece are expensive.
